In conjunction with the American Institute of Architects (AIA), BEA offers Continuing Education Courses designed for architects and other interested parties seeking continuing education credits. BEA’s course focuses on the use of sensor-based technology in door opening applications. This course identifies the difference between activation and safety sensors for pedestrian-based doors and how/why this is pertinent when specifying an automatic door in a specific application. The course also reviews door requirements for low-energy vs. full-energy doors as they relate to ANSI 156 standards. Participants will also learn how to utilize door sensors in energy modeling and building-operator manuals as well as LEED projects.
AIA members can request a session taught by BEA by e-mailing BEA’s customer service department at email@example.com or by filling out the form to the right.
